Our thoughts and prayers are with you.  Ilene, Alexander and Emily Kruger

Condolence From Candace Skurnik http://amisrael.frontrunnerpro.com/runtime/113698/runtime.php?SiteId=113698&NavigatorId=1293012&ItemId=3600495&op=tributeCondolenceView&viewOpt=dpaneOnly&gid=condolence11574550 Condolences Tue, 04 Sep 2018 18:53:21 EDT Story shared: Aunt B and Aunt B http://amisrael.frontrunnerpro.com/runtime/113698/runtime.php?SiteId=113698&NavigatorId=1293012&ItemId=3600495&op=tributeFamilyStories&viewOpt=dpaneOnly&gid=story6797882 My mom, Belinda, and Bev had been friends since they were 15 years old... over 40 years! They called each other sisters and for years, I truly believed that Bev was my biological aunt. They looked alike, they talked alike, they acted alike. To each other, they were more than best friends... they were soulmates... they were sisters.

When we were little we used to come out to San Diego from Pittsburgh, PA and visit our Aunt B (that's what we called Bev and her kids would call my mom, who is Belinda, Aunt B, as well). We loved being around the Rendlers, our cousins, and being apart of that crazy fun house where there was always something going on! I actually thought I was part-Jewish at one point because I had cousins who were, so I must be, right?

I remember one specific time the two of them, Aunt B and Aunt B, took all of us kids (they had 8 kids between the two of them) to the mall for the day. They were very affectionate friends... they would hold hands, called each other honey, and even kissed on the lips!!! Well, during this one shopping spree they were apparantly feelinge extra lovey dovey and were doing all of the above out in public, with all their kids around. We were getting looks from everyone!!

My Aunt B was always telling me how much she loved my sisters and I, how much she loved our family, and how much she loved my mom. She would say things like, "Oh Emily, you get that from our side of the family." Lol... and I loved it!!

She and my mom had something that was truly special, and something I feel honored to have witnessed. Their friendship was true, it was loyal, and it was unconditional. I will always remember the love that they had for each other... She will be truly missed.
